Turku Polytechnic operates on seven locations and Salo is one of them. Salo is situated 50 km east of Turku and 110 km west of Helsinki, which is Finland's capital. There are 25 000 citizens in Salo and it is one the most international cities in Finland in relation to population. The city of Salo is known for its electronic industry and good economical environment.

Turku Polytechnic has very good relations to the business life in the Salo area. All students participate common entrepreneurship studies in the beginning of their studies in Salo. Working life related projects are an essential part of studies in all degree programmes. Also the cooperation with the University of Turku gives the students more possibilities to develop expertise in the field of their studies.

There are six international degree programmes in Turku Polytechnic and three of them are in Salo. Exchange programmes, international degree programmes and practical projects give our students an excellent opportunity to become truly international experts.
